The Asian Leadership Center
I have been writing about the bamboo ceiling for years now. The data is undeniable, Asians are the group least likely to be promoted in Corporate America. Whether it’s because of conscious or unconscious bias, it needs to change. That is why I have been writing about topics like the rules of power, the importance of storytelling, building your identity capital, silencing your inner critic, being the main character and making way for yourself.
It is also why I decided to partner with my friend Michael Takagawa, CEO of Corporate Edge, an executive coaching firm. I have previously written about the importance of having a coach. I wanted to help connect Asian American executives with executive coaches who could empathize with their upbringing and experiences in ways that most coaches could not. We co-founded the Asian Leadership Center to support people who want to learn how to apply these learnings and skills to navigate corporate culture and politics more effectively. If you are interested in learning more, please complete this interest form and our team will get in touch with you! As I always say, be proactive about your career and don’t be afraid to ask for help!
